The Pantera vendors sell beautiful billet aluminum air filters which use a 
pair of oval K*N filters.   Here it is on Hall Pantera's site:

FWIW the Gr4 race Panteras used open velocity stacks, and De Tomaso 
fabricated a metal cover which bolted to the underside of the roof and extended 
back over the top of the rear stacks.   This was probably done (as on the GT40) 
to balance airflow, as at high speed, there is a low pressure area over the 
decklid and presumably the rear cylinders could go lean.   There was an air 
scoop in the left rocker panel (sill) with a flexible hose that led up to a 
fitting on the left side of this cover, to duct fresh air to the 
neighborhood of the carb inlets.   I will send a photo of that to you seperately.
