Rich Boschert makes a really nice kit that incorporates added relays and 
fuses to power the headlights, fans, and electric windows, and is very easy to 
install.   Or, you can create your own version by following the "Volts of 
Confidence" article on the Panteraplace.com website.   And Rick Moseley sells 
a plug-and-play kit as well.

But one way or another, you should have relays for your headlights....
