[DeTomaso] Hazard Switch

Had to hijack this email to ask a question on my phone under my dash...

My new hazard switch is the same on the back as the OE for my 74 except that the alignment with the face is different. With "HAZARD" level, the pins on the back are rotated about 20 or 30 degrees off. I know this sounds stupid to you EE types, but I'm guessing that when I switch wires from old to new, I use the missing pin with the crossing wire as the reference, not the face--is that correct?
