[DeTomaso] Here we go...

Yep, disaster is the only description. We're thankful we've never gone through that much devastation and can only think how much worse the ones we thought were bad would've been. One that stands out in my mind was when we first lived in Chicago burbs and had an ice storm. We were out in a little bedroom community of Hoffman Estates (that would be a rather booming Schaumburg area now from what I'm told) with 3 young children, one who was only months old. No power or heat altho think we did have phones. Luckily a co-worker of Jack's told us to haul ourselves into Chicago and bunk in their apartment until our power returned - think it was 2-3 days. The scariest thing about that was seeing so many huge power lines down in the street - something one didn't want to go near.

A minor tornado years later that only broke one tree limb was nothing in comparison since it landed in front of the car in the drive and think we'd gotten used to the windy Chicago climate by then.

Yep, it has to get better for all our family back east - hang in there; we're thinking about you~~

What a disaster.

...and there we went. Holy cow. What a disaster. Never thought I'd see
the day when there is no electric all week for 40 miles+ in every direction.
I went 5 days with no power, 6 with no cable/internet/phone service. Work
is still without power, and I can only get gas on odd days, with 1.5 hr wait
on line. I got away easy, but I have several neighbors with gigantic trees
through their homes. Was able to piggy back off a neighbor's generator (I
had gas to bargain with.) Rain was light, so I assume the Pcar is ok. I
haven't been able to get in there.
It can only get better I think.

It's starting to drizzle here in northern NJ...Frankenstorm is coming as
predicted.
Due to construction at home, the Pcar and Mustang are in a 30' storage unit.
I think its above the local high water mark, but I'm not 100% sure. One
daily driver is in the unfinished new garage; the other is parked down the
street in a parking lot...it's a wooded neighborhood, so there is potential
for fallen trees blocking driveways and roads.
Good luck to all my fellow Jersey Panteras members!
-Tony
