Mike,

I pulled another Cleveland stick and tube -- tubes not identical but sticks have the same DOAE-6750-A number and check out the same. One tube has been bent above mounting bolt hole and I didn't take time to do the tape measurement thing. The two tubes are not the same length from ridge to bottom end of tube -- which does not affect full marks. What is the # on your last stick?

I suppose that DeTomaso may have made an orginal adjustment ( for difference in engine mounting level ) and later found another was needed.

Hi guys,

Larry Finch was kind enough to mail me what is purportedly an original
standard Mustang 351C dipstick and tube.   Although the tube and dipstick were
both a bit mangled, I was able to get them installed.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the dipstick extended much
further into the oil pan than even the too-long Pantera dipstick????

Check out all three side-by-side here:

Now I'm REALLY confused!

Mike
