Mike,

Agree on the conversion cost, especially when you spell out like that with all the little finishing bits it takes and their scarcity. The wide campi 10 spokes are fetching north of $6K a set now alone.

Thanks or the nice comment.
But that was a conversion of the very last vignale body.
All done with factory panels. It had cost way less than an original car.

I have to say, that was my favorite Pantera I have ever driven--and I've driven a LOT of Panteras!

While you say it cost less to convert it than it would have cost to buy a genuine GT5-S, don't forget that you were doing all the work and sourcing the parts yourself, and you did it a long time ago when the price difference between a regular Pantera and a GT5-S was greater than it is now. *Today*, if somebody wanted a GT5-S, and had a nice Pantera to start with and nothing else, by the time he finished buying the body kit, paying to have it installed on the car, including a full paint job, and also paid for a full leather interior, and also new wheels, tires, upgraded brakes, new shocks, and all the little extra trim pieces such as the side grilles, new bumpers, lights, etc. etc. etc. he'd probably wind up spending more money than if he just bought a nice, real GT5-S of equal quality.
