I like the use of secondary highways on your route.  Unfortunately, that particular route is a bit out of the way for the Houston drivers, and I suspect, the Texas Metroplex contingent.

Would you consider an alternative path out of Fort Worth which is equidistant between us?

Perhaps, I am putting to much effort into the caravan together thinking.  Although, I realize that we will have at least one truck with trailer to haul spare wheel tire combos, parts and additional luggage which would enhance safety, timely arrival and comfort.

  Proposed Trip from OKC to Chandler, Arizona.  This is part one for day one from OKC to Roswell, New Mexico.  There is a link for the map at the end of this email.    Part two for day two from Roswell, New Mexico to Chandler, Arizona is in the next separate email.

  Part One: contains a small  amount of superslab and mostly Oklahoma-Texas-New Mexican backroads.  I took this route from San Diego to OKC in 2007.  I thought it was much, much better than I-40 superslab.  

  I would be happy to hear suggestions from my New Mexican Pantera brothers about the planned route.
