Dear John,
I am partial to that route from experience. I am
sure that it is probably not a good fit for DFW or Houston. I think
coordinating a tri-city caravan may be a challenge. I think that OKC
contingent will have a handful of Panteras. How big is Space City's
contingent? DFW's?
Looking at the map, Roswell is a bit north for a DFW
start and is out of the way for Houston. Maybe three smaller caravans?
Warmest regards, Chuck
Engles

I like the use of secondary highways on your route. Unfortunately, that
particular route is a bit out of the way for the Houston drivers, and I
suspect, the Texas Metroplex contingent.
Would you consider an alternative path out of Fort Worth which is
equidistant between us?
Perhaps, I am putting to much effort into the caravan together thinking.
Although, I realize that we will have at least one truck with trailer to
haul spare wheel tire combos, parts and additional luggage which would
enhance safety, timely arrival and comfort.

Part I
Proposed Trip from OKC to Chandler, Arizona. This is part one for day one
from OKC to Roswell, New Mexico. There is a link for the map at the end of
this email. Part two for day two from Roswell, New Mexico to Chandler,
Arizona is in the next separate email.
Part One: contains a small amount of superslab and mostly
Oklahoma-Texas-New Mexican backroads. I took this route from San Diego to
OKC in 2007. I thought it was much, much better than I-40 superslab.
I would be happy to hear suggestions from my New Mexican Pantera brothers
about the planned route.
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles
