The way that I heard it, one of GM's managers (?) wanted a Mangusta, but with a Chevy engine (327 ?), and deTomaso agreed to build it. When the car arrived, the new owner couldn't fit in it !! Needless to say, he was thoroughly pissed and ended up selling the car to Dick Ruzzin, who was working for GM at the time. John
