[DeTomaso] Didn't Mike Drew drive this car?

1) Nope, Mike test drove two Guaras in Italy that the factory lent him - the
Guara Barchetta and their dark blue demonstrator car. The year was 2001, and
I was driving the car that he wasn't :-)
2) The panels are fiberglass. Before the implosion of the Detomaso factory
(or company, to be more accurate) there were molds there. The last time we
visited the factory in 2009 they were still there. I can send you photos.
After the liquidation I imagine that the situation has changed and someone
has either purchased them (Roland??) or they are in a scrap heap somewhere. 
3) Agreed that it is a rare car on a world-wide basis, and even rarer in the
US. From some angles I like the looks, from others it looks ungainly. They
are too quiet as stock for my taste, although Ric Lee has a Guara
convertible with a custom exhaust that sounds the part..

Wow, with something like only 38 built and 2 in the US I was aware of that
is a huge loss to De Tomaso history.

I actually like the Guara, but confess don't know taht much about them. Are
they all fiberglass? The damage looks mostly cosmetic, wonder if any molds
or parts exist? It's somewhat tempting at the right price.
