[DeTomaso] tilting radiator forward

i bought a fluidyne unit. And I used straps of steel to make bracket extensions to tip it just far forward enough to almost touch the old fan mounts. I used strips of aluminum riveted to the top and bottom of the radiator (the tanks are on the sides) to mount two large sucker fans. I do not have any other shroud or paneling to promote airflow around the radiator. I have the fans actuated by a temp sender in the upper water hose by the thermostat, and a second one by the blank switch in the dash. the radiator-mounted sensors that are recommended by our colleagues do not ever get hot off to turn on. I can sit in my driveway for an hour with the engine idling and the temp stays around 200 degrees. with a clean, rebuilt engine, a good water pump, a good radiator, and two good fans, the cooling system is super.

If I race the engine a lot without moving (playing with fuel injection), then the temp creeps up, but it has never gotten concerning. Justin
