[DeTomaso] Heater control valve

...but what this started as Gary, was a bypass valve that bypasses the
heater AND the rad when heat isn't called for in the heater.

I don't always agree with that.

The water flowing through the heater is not water flowing through the
radiator. If the heater is more effective then the radiator then that
would be true. If the heater is less effective then no. I had one
specific car where running the in car heater would actually increased temps.
