[DeTomaso] Heater control valve

It may be that if you hadn't wasted a portion of the flow to feed the heater
on hot days, the increased flow through the rad might have prevented or
reduced the overheating. Any pressure from the outlet of the water pump that
doesn't go through the rad will reduce the maximum cooling capacity of any
given system.

As a personal note, I have had to put my heater on many of my rods to help
reduce temps on overheating cars until I've been able to get to a place
where I can cool or fix it. Running the heater works to help overheating
cars. Period.

reminds me of a scene from "The Gumball Rally" when Ace the racer who
drove
the 70 or 71 beige split bumper big block Camaro had his navigator Gary

both
sweating like crazy.
Now back to your heater valve thread.
