I think the thing to do would be to drill out all the spot welds joining 
the inner wheelhouse to the quarter panel.   When mine was replaced, that was 
the hope, but instead of doing that, the guy who supplied the replacement 
just used a plasma cutter and buzzed it out, about two inches below the join.  
 That made the work of installing it in the car much more difficult. :<(
