Dave,

I always add a dab of grease to each linkage fork tip where the two of them
contact the throwout bearing's collar.  I also add a dab to the
transmission's spline tube that the ID of the throwout bearing rides on.
Also, don't forget to check how well the clutch shaft is turning in the bell
housing while you have it apart.

I'm just putting the ZF back onto the cleveland. (first time)

I'm pretty sure the forks should get a dab of grease at the contact
point with the throwout bearing.
Is there anything else that needs a dab?
Is a standard lithium-based grease the right stuff?
