Both ends of the bellhousing cross-shaft have straight needle bearings 
inside. '71s and Gooses got zerk fittings there but the later Panteras got 
either an open hole or nothing at all. Some sort of lube would be a good idea 
since most Panteras have never gotten any lube at all since new in those little 
bearings, but the arrangement really requires disassembly to be sure lube 
gets inside where the needles are. Some owners have added zerks. Good luck-
