Boyd,
The answer is it depends on your hoses. If you still have the stock system with the original type hoses then you need the flare. If your system has been modernized then it's possible somebody put new o-ring hoses on, or if you want to change your hoses while you're at it then I'd go o-ring.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Fwd: Ac upgrade drier part # question
This message is directed to the especially "Cool" members of the "Big list".
Since I too want to be counted among the " cool " I need to have a functional ac unit. You will notice there are two different driers listed.
One is listed with "Flare ends" and the other with "O"rings. Can someone tell me which is correct? If you search the web page these links lead to you will see that there are additional driers (like chrome and other features that are apparently of a cosmetic or aesthetic value. They even sell a flare adapter kit apparently to accommodate someone who purchased the wrong style.
The heat and humidity is getting worse so I am anxious to make this upgrade asap. Your quick response will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerly (and with great thanks),
