[DeTomaso] NPC - convertible top tacking strip needed

Guy,

My son and I are replacing the convertible top on his 98 Mustang Cobra and
one of the short front staple tack strips has cracked and needs to be
replaced.  My local Ford dealer says it's only available as part of a $900
assembly!  It's a 0.12" thick. 7" long, 1/2" wide piece of black plastic
that can be stapled without cracking, but it's 12 years old so now it wants
to crack.  It looks to me to be black PVC.  Any ideas?
