I have a cable shifter in my GT40.

It works OK, but I'll take the rod shifter in the Pantera *any *day over
that. I have to really think about shifting the GT40.

I can 'power shift' the Pantera all day with no drama and little thought.

Yes, I know... it's hard on synchros, but it's impressive and it works. :-)

If the rod shifter in the Pantera is adjusted correctly, the detent in the
shifter itself is removed, the guide fingers in the shift gate are removed
and the thrust bearing next to the left header is replaced with a unit like
Pantera Performance or other vendors supply, the Pantera shifts absolutely
fantastic. Smooth and positive.

Although the cable shifter shown in the photos looks very pretty, I'd find
it hard to justify the expense, personally....

IMHO....

FWIW,
Kirby
