At the end of the day you probably want less than 50% of the total brake
power available at the rear wheels. As the stock brake bias based on piston
area is in the 2:1 (f:r) range you want the front circuit to reduce around
50% at full retardation.

How much does the proportioning valve proportion? I seem to recall hearing
something around 70% to rear, which will have significant impact on brake
pedal feel and the pressure required to get the fronts to lock up.

Maybe it's time to throw some science into the OEM theory and plug all the
available stock data into one the available brake efficiency/sizing
calculators.
