There are also Kevlar-nylon bushings that were introduced for diesel engines that are suppose to be better than either needle bearing or oilite.

Thanks Jack.  There is a seal lip on the needle bearing assembly, so I don't
think any would get out and spin onto the clutch.  I'm sure the Oilite vs.
needle bearing debate is one that will go on as long as there are Panteras.
I did ask my ZF builder about them, and he gave the nod to the needle
bearings.

I'd pack it with grease. The amount it can hold is very small which is yet
another reason I don't use needle bearings in that area. Oilite bushings
work as well, remove easier, are cheaper and never damage the input shaft
