[DeTomaso] Pulling Valve Covers to Replace Gaskets

I've had success picking up cork or other itty bitty stuff with duct tape.

Hello again folks!

I am just about to pull my valve covers as the cork gaskets are seeping
a bit.  I obviously would like to avoid contaminating the valve train.

Any recommendations for pulling the valve covers and removing the
existing (cork) gaskets with minimal mess?
