[DeTomaso] brake system question

My limited experience with brake problems:

When the booster failed on one of my cars the pedal was rock hard and you had to push super hard to get any slowing

When I had too much air in the stock Pantera system with Hall-modified front calipers the pedal would go all the way to the floor. I didn't try driving the car, but I'm sure no braking would have occurred if I had. The cure was to undo the front calipers from their mounting points and bleed them while holding them upside down and various angles to get all the air out.

Are all the parts new? Maybe the RF caliper is not working / seized.

What are you calling the shuttle valve? If it is the stock proportioning valve, those are known to trap air.

The fluid pressure should be equal in the right/left calipers, so pulling. Is
here any chance you got some grease or oil on passenger side front rotor? The
nly time I ever had strong pulling was when I put new pads in a bad caliper and
ushed the piston back into the caliper to a positon where it leaked brake fluid
nto the rotor. It was an awful feeling in traffic.

f the MC is too small, you'd have more pedal travel than you are comfortable
ith but more braking for a given force on the pedal.

I have "created" my own brake system - wilwood superlites 4 piston up front, PBR
ingle piston rear (built in parking brake - from a90's camaro - Byers uses
hese), stock booster, ford master cylinder with adaptor (prob 0.875" bore
ize), stock shuttle valve, adjustable rear prop valve
roblem 1 - pedal is a little bit soft and does not brake car well. I have
ressure bled system about 100 times with both the mity-vac and the device that
ressurizes the master cylinder from above. Is it still air in system or is
aster cylinder too small?
problem 2 - car pulls hard to driver side under braking. I can lock up only the
river's side front wheel if I really try. This is the problem that really has
e worried.
Any suggestions? I have narrowed it down to either:
. too small master cylinder bore size
. still some sir somewhere in system
. ?booster is not getting enoug vacuum? - easy to check next time car is
unning.
