I suspect the models were only imaginative exercises, but there are 
multi-engine tractors built for pulling contests, and they have rather innovative 
driveshafts all feeding gigantic rear wheels- maybe with dual   
differentials, 'cause the 4wd guys run in a separate class. Not sure how it all gets to 
the ground... twin Allison V-12s, or 4 or 6 blown big-blocks should generate 
"excitement" if a u-joint breaks under power in what's essentially a rail
