I understand the "right to bear arms" argument, but I also vividly remember the day I watched a neighbor dig a slug out of a garage on the alley behind my house in Chicago. The guy across the alley bragged about running off an intruder with a single shot. However, six inches to the right and the bullet would have missed the garage and?ended up in my daughter's bedroom. I moved away rather than risk injury from a macho cowboy "defending himself". A very difficult issue.

If you don't want a firearm that's your business, but it's  
wrong for you to tell people (who probably don't live in the kind of  
neighborhood you live in) that they cannot defend themselves.? ?
