The internal width was .5" narrower then the outside width including the
lip .25" lip on each side. My wheels did not have an "advertised size
(width) because they were custom made. I ordered wheels that were 9" wide an
they measure 9" in width internally (where the tire fits) but 9.5" if
measured externally outside edge to outside edge ( same thing with the rear
wheels) 12" internally but 12.5 outside edge. This did not present a problem
because the tires (235/40R/18) at the widest point are 9.57" ( approved rim
width's according to Nitto) 8.00" (8.50') 9.50") Rear 335/30ZR19are 13.31"
with an approved rim size's of 11.50" (12.00") 12.50" My wheels have a
reversed lip so they look flatter on the outside rim edge ( this may explain
the difference between the actual internal width and external width
measurements)
