FWIW, I had four wheels painted and clearcoated at a cost of some $600 or 
thereabouts, by a local body shop.   Costs are much higher in California due 
to all the government BS here. :<(

The finished result was perfect however; I'm quite happy with them.   I 
much prefer painting magnesium wheels vice powdercoating them, as it's 
difficult to achieve the proper color/finish with powdercoating, and it's not 
unusual for the wheels to out-gas and blister the paint during the process.
