Sounds like a generic Ford or GM unit.   They are laughably cheap.   Like, 
$50-60 tops.   Definitely not worth trying to rebuild yourself.   Just 
remove it, take it to an auto parts store and match it.   It may have the size of 
the bore listed on the outside; if not you can just remove the piston and 
measure it, then get one of the same size (probably one inch, could be 1 1/8 
inches.
