Take the filter off & examine the o-ring to be sure it isn't balled up or 
cracked. If not, smear a little oli on the o-ring face and re-tighteni it by 
hand. That will seal 100 psi in my experience unless something is badly 
wrong with either the block surface, the o-ring or the filter can itself.

Its easy to smash those hard nylon drain plug washers. Be careful 
over-tightening. Its also possible to strip the pan threads.... good luck (you're
