It also must be pointed out that this is an election year and the Austin American Statesman is a very Liberal news paper that has been out to get Gov Perry for years.

  You seem to forget you read this in the MEDIA and should be aware that facts are not as important as the agenda of the reporter or his employer.  While not as bad as national TV/print media, you still have to understand that you are getting 

editorials, not news.  F1 falls into the same ballpark as the olympics and if you think that process takes place in the open without bias or closed door deals...well then I don't know.  Several major cities wanted this because they were just more 

entitled to it than those poor boys down in TEXAS and are still fighting for it after the fact.  I'm sure there are more than 

just public entities that would like to just finish working this out.
