[DeTomaso] Laminova Crown Victoria police Interceptor oil to wateroil cooler.

That's nothing like the ones on the handful or so of Ford oil coolers that I've seen. The Ford connectors are not swiveling (but can be inserted at any rotational position during assembly) and are crimp fitted to the oil line.

Most lines come in "kit form". e.i. you buy the hose, and the fittings, and cut the hose to length and then
"Screw them together." Most of the Aeroquip hose fitting, like the ones on the Laminova, actually screw together (or unscrew to take them apart). The collar is in-fact a big nut. You take the nut, shove the hose in one end of it, then screw the other part of the fitting into the other end of the nut which forces the hose into some grooves in the inside of the collar.

Here's a pretty good "how to"..

Do they make hoses that are suitable for oil lines that are longer that are already equipped with an aeroquip fitting?

The Ford fitting is in fact a Aeroquip type fitting, it comes right apart like any aeroquip fitting and you can fit a new aeroquip type hose into the original Ford fitting. Which is a pretty cool rotating fitting. Well worth saving!

That was my basic concern(using the Ford fittings, and adapting new oil
lines to the Ford fittings at the Laminova end , and fabricating braided
stainless lines and A&N fittings to attach the oil lines to either a sand
which plate or the remote filter set up I bought. Thanks for your feed back.
