[DeTomaso] Causes for cylinder cutting out?

Charlie,

A car here in Reno had a similar problem; it turns out that one of his 
spark plugs broke neatly in two but did NOT fall out of the car.   So it was 
resting in place, making intermittant contact.   The owner was quite concerned 
and was afraid he'd wiped out a valve or something.   Happy ending.

Here's something to consider--your car has been in pieces for a long time, 
and was assembled by people who aren't familiar wth these things.   The 
Cleveland has a different spark plug firing order than other Ford engines; it 
wouldn't be difficult to imagine them swapping two plug leads by accident.
