I installed mine in the collectors such that they are reasonably 
accessible from within the engine compartment. See:

You want them close to the engine to keep them properly up to temp.

You might also consider installing two in each header, one for narrow 
band lambda, in case you install EFI, and one for wide band lambda, for 
tuning. I have two in my right header for just that purpose.
