[DeTomaso] 15" Tires

 I still run 15 inch wheels (8 and 10s) on my Pantera (and thanks to Mike Drew, the 10" rims now match).  I have always feared that someday I won't be able to find tires for my 10" rears, but when the time came for new tires, I was always able to find a replacement.   In the 23 years of ownership, I have gone through two sets of Pirelli 285/50 P7s and am currently running BFG 305/50 Euro TAs, that will need replacing next year.   As you can probably tell, I don't drive my car much (avg 1000 miles/year), which has helped reduce my need for replacements.   Based on input from this forum, I purchased a set of Toyo Proxies last spring so I will have another set of tires to go to.   

Having a certain source for replacement tires would be comforting.   As far as brands go, all I can say is my BFGs have lasted much longer than my P7s, but I suspect the P7s exhibited better adhesion.

I am doing some consulting for Coker Tire on potential demand for some  
out of production motorcycle tires. It occurred to me that I should  
use this opportunity to assess the demand for our 15 inch tires.. I  
would like your opinions on how many Panteras you think are still  
running 15s, and which brand and sizes of tires would be the best to  
reproduce. (Goodyear, BFG, Pirelli, etc)  What Coker does is purchases  
the molds for out of production tires, so more than likely, if this  
happens, it would be limited to one brand and a couple of front and  
rear size choices. If you could please reply also to my personal email  
( dferrato at aol.com) with 15" Tires as the subject, I would appreciate
