[DeTomaso] ZF POLISHING

Hello Robert,
It looks like the flap wheel I used was 120 grit, I got it at ACE Hardware, I think? Whether it be the flap wheel or sandpaper, I would start out fine, if fine isn't getting the job done, then go to the next lower numbered grit, (more coarse). Continue this process until you get what you need to do the job. I would be reluctant to use anything more coarse than 100 grit. If you make a deep scratch, you will be hating life. So once you have worked down to the most coarse grit that you wind up using, then it is time to go up to the next more fine grit and then the next finer grit and so on until you get the finish you want. Be careful using any power tools to do the job, you can make a deep depression in the aluminum before you know it, and then your trans will look like a mogul field. :-)) I think I used a dremel to get into some of the tight spots? Good luck and remember, NO DEEP SCRATCHES!!!
