[DeTomaso] oil leak, any one ever have this happen to them.

I always lubricate the face of the seal with fresh motor oil before I 
install and tighten it.   The oil allows the seal to turn against the face of the 
block mount as it's tightening; otherwise it will grab and tear.   Did you 
do that?
