Boyd,
I do not have a Pantera but recently had the Mangusta aligned on a Hunter laser guided computer machine.  They put palets on the wheels about 20 inches in diameter and then the two laser cameras register the wheel locations, a skilled operator goes from there.
It turned out great.  The key is the thrust angle, the rear wheel axle centers are aligned first and then related to the fronts.  Ian hannington had his Pantera done very successfully.

A good machine operator should not need any advice.  The fellow who did my car had never seen a Mangusta before and he did a great job.  He also did my Corvette on the same machine, it is now better than when I received it from the factory.

The most important thing is:
1) What kind of equipment is being used.
2) How experienced is the operator?
3) How low can he get the thrust angle.
4) It should not cost more than $250. or $300.

All the best,
DICK RUZZIN
