[DeTomaso] Fuel Line welding/brazing

Guys,

I want to add a 5/16" return fuel line through my 70 MACH1's fuel sender. My
plan is to drill a hole in the sender, insert standard 5/16" brake line
tubing through the hole and take it to a welder.
Can standard brake line be welded or brazed to a steel fuel sender or is
its coating and makeup incompatible with welding?

Here's what the Edelmann site says about their brake tubing. Each line is
made by double wrapping a copper coated steel strip to form a double wall
tube. Next, the tube is furnace brazed to fuse the
copper/steel tube into one continuous and seamless tube. The tube is then
given a super terne coat for excellent corrosion protection.

>From what I understand 'terne" coating is a combo of zinc and tin plating
over the base metal.
