[DeTomaso] brake upgrade question

Dear Boyd,

I have a dual master cylinder set up by Pantera Performance Center
in Colorado. Dennis Quella set the balance bar. I fooled with it a bit at
first and haven't touched it in over ten years. It has not been a high
maintenance headache. I think that it would give the flexibility for needed
adjustments with difference tires and brake pads for someone serious about
track performance. For bourgeois track drivers the option is still there
should it be needed.

                   Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Subject: [DeTomaso] brake upgrade question

I am upgrading my brakes using Brembo "Big Red" calipers from a 996 Porsche
turbo ( a 911) with 13.1" rotors. I am going to replace my master cylinder
with a dual reservoir model and I wanted to ask about peoples experience
with balance bars or proportioning valves. A balance bar seems like it is
allot more complicated and I was wondering what other people have done and
if they have used a proportioning valve instead of a balance bar and what
recomendations people might have.
Boyd
