[DeTomaso] Steel distributor gears for 351C

I have been running the Comp Cam EX284H Valve lift 584/588 for about four years, and use my stock distributor.

Maybe Dan Jones will chime in here but I believe all Comp Cams gears are
compatible with a stock cast iron gear.

I spoke to CompCams two weeks ago and the tech told me that all their cores
are compatible with oem distributor gears; that they don't require steel or
bronze 
gears. But I wouldn't go on that info alone.  Call them back with your
grind/cam number and ask what the core material is. If it's less than 8620
steel you can use 
a Mallory steel allow distributor gear.
