Broke down and bought NEW laptop with good battery to tune fuel injection on the road..however, I can't install the holly program on the new laptop.. after many hours I have concluded that the Holly program is a 16 bit and the new laptop has windows vista 64 bit and this just won't install..

I had the same problem with my old laptop, the battery was dead and I
got a new laptop, a really nice MacBook Pro :-)

Naturally that won't let me run the windows based EFI tuning software,
so I installed XP on a virtual machine. In my case I got Vmware Fusion
as I knew the USB support in the virtual PC worked. I could probably
have used VirtualBox as well, which is free, but the client USB support
on Mac hosts used to be problematic and as the software I'm using is
locked to a machine, I didn't want to have to buy it one more time in
case theer was a problem.

You can download VirtualBox from:
http://www.virtualbox.org/

Good luck!
