Well, the new engine's in, and I drove #3846 to Mike Thomas' house in Covington (about a 70-mile round trip) with no problems.  There are few things I still need to address; get the new carb on, get it timed, etc., but it seemed to perform very well.

Thanks to all on the forum for all the help over the last few months--y'all are great.

Now my younger son, Donny, and I are all set to sit down and plan what we're going to do in Reno!
