[DeTomaso] Quick Question, cant get the vacuum hose off intake

Thanks.  I was gonna try to cut it but it seems very loose and spins (the whole attachment) thus if it unscrews I thought I should take it apart and clean and reseal the threads before replacing the hose?  Just don't want any leaks that may cause the brakes to get mushy.
