Casidiam is a trade name for a Carbon Vapor Deposition (CVD) film that is really hard, actually compared to a diamond.  It's most common use in on wrist pins, but it is used in other applications also.  You can read more here:

The seller said he has new lifters, and that Precision Products will rebuild the 

used lifters.  So I was wondering if casidiam coated lifters need the added zinc 

(ZDDP):
