 In that case I would think ZDDP, if anything, would be MORE important, as the diamond hardness of the lifters will be MORE prone to wearing away the relatively softer metal of the camshaft.

Casidiam is a trade name for a Carbon Vapor Deposition (CVD) film that is really hard, actually compared to a diamond.? It's most common use in on wrist pins, but it is used in other applications also.? You can read more here:
