We appreciate the inside scoop.  

Why did you believe the directors felt "it was your time."  I certainly recognize based on your remarks their ability to influence proceedings.  My friends who watched the show (non-Pantera owners) were sad to see Team Pantera leave as they found you guys to be among the more likeable contestants.  :^)

Are the producers providing the contestants funds to cover gas/oil, food and lodging?  Will there be any financial bailout for team Evo?  Do they subsidize the bodywork and mechanical repairs that the local bodyshop is providing to keep the Dart running or fixing the Pantera's throwout bearing for that matter?

They seem to keep much of the show's mechanics a mystery.  It wasn't until the third episode that we indirectly were made aware of the rule asking the teams to obey the speed limits.  I had been wondering why the Silver State Pantera Team wasn't playing catch-up at triple digits.  Other reality shows appear to be more forthcoming on the financial restraints and rules that bind the contestants.

  Oops I forgot to answer your other question. Nick has never been on a Jet ski and being from Masachusettes was severerly adverse to water sports! It was a pretty basic slalom course for the Pantera which Nick did well. Just the backing up part killed us. Really team Evo had to do the challenge twice cause the ran over a bouy the first time. How fair is that. Also team Corvette received penalties. Both of those teams were ready to go home they thought they did so poorly. All the other contestants said we did the best, and so did the production crew.

  The REALITY of it is they produces have lots of levers to pull to persuade the outcome. It was our time :)

We were also told that you stick to the instructions the cars will be fine but if you screw up the challenge ( like stupid Evo did ) then you can seriously damage the car. Had you made it to through that leg and were placed in that situation, would you have driven the Pantera through the chain link fence?  Were the participants aware of the intentional damage the program's directors were exposing the cars to prior to agreeing to participate?  Based on the Ferrari's drivers initial comment in the first episode on the potential damage caused by the clear plastic door strips he had to drive through when exiting the starting point, one would think not. Their potential damage to his paint job would seem mild in comparison.

      Also, why did you drive the jet ski and your friend drive the Pantera in the challenge you faced?

What limitations/rules were there that once you were out, did not apply? Dare I ask if the Pantera, Porsche, and Ferrari went out intentionally so they did not have to potentially drive through a fence?

        It was pretty crazy Paul flipping over the Dodge in front of us all as he was showboating on the gravel road, but that car was put back together no problem. It was all superficial damage. Now Team Evo got what they deserve, Karma is a bitch. But to be so stupid as to decide to blow through the gate and head straight into that grass ... unbelievable. Those big concrete blocks were really obvious.

        On that leg, Team Pantera, Team Porsche, and Team Ferrari were doing 130mph through Durango! It was a lot of fun and turned into a supercar road trip at that point except without the limitations of the show. The best part was we go to do a fly by on the other contestants as they tried to stay around the speed limit and we buzzed them about 120mph :)

        Fun fun fun.
