The HVLP gun should specify the recommended pressure for various materials. I think my 
Husky gun used 10-20 psi, however I turned up the pressure for heavier material. 

And your paint manufacturer should specify the recommended tip for the material, but I believe 
you want something like a 1.8 for primer, so the 2.0 may be the best choice. Try each and 
see which one works better with your material.
