When I read that its like comparing elephant ears with ranch versus bbq sauce......Crazy Dan builds his Cleveland 6 times and none of them as reported by Dan run except his Chevy powered beast...well when was that Dan? ;-]>
 
When I read some of the list slacker posts like I have the last couple days I want to come out of retirement. But I tell you what I won't do.

I won't blame elephant ears, the Cleveland block, poor compusion chamber science or head design. 

DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL.....Now I have to come out of retirement again so I can run the Pantera at Silver State in September and PUNK ALL YOUR SORRY ASSES.

Ken,
I would think that if the Cleveland heads looked like the LS heads they would be more efficient and lighter.  The rotational weight of the valve train on the LS is outstandingly low.

NASCAR engines are highly focused on purpose-built performance requirements.

Combustion chamber science is in these days is very sophisticated .
