I would think that if the Cleveland heads looked like the LS heads they would be more efficient and lighter.  The rotational weight of the valve train on the LS is outstandingly low.

NASCAR engines are highly focused on purpose-built performance requirements.

Combustion chamber science is in these days is very sophisticated .
