[DeTomaso] Window Seal

When reinstalling my windshield in my 74 Pantera the restorer purchased 
a seal form a California vendor.  The problem is that the seal was too 
big and created a bulge.
The restorer will refund the cost of the seal but wants me to provide 
the seal or use my old seal.
My question is how bad could it be to reuse my old seal if it is not 
damaged?
